Hunter Gee Holroyd secure finance deal for local farm shop expansion

Hunter Gee Holroyd, recently assisted business owner Matthew Machin to successfully secure a corporate finance deal with his bank to enable him to extend his award winning café facility at his farm shop, The Balloon Tree. It is located at Gate Helmsley, near Stamford Bridge.  Matthew, who has been the managing director at The Balloon Tree for over 10 years, requested advice on financing options from Hunter Gee Holroyd, who have provided his business with accountancy and business growth advice services for a number of years.

Mark Grewer, Hunter Gee Holroyd’s Head of Corporate Finance, produced a comprehensive cash flow forecast and business plan for Matthew to present to his bank.  Mark also dealt with any financial queries raised by the bank, and Matthew was subsequently informed that his funding application had been successful and that the expansion plans could be started.

Matthew Machin said: ‘‘It is amazing to see my vision become a reality. The extended café with it’s bi-fold doors opening onto the landscaped garden brings the outside into the café all year round, which more of our customers can now enjoy.  I would like to thank Mark Grewer and the team at Hunter Gee Holroyd for all their support and advice.  Mark has been fantastic in helping us provide the bank with a professional application for funding, and has been with us every step of the way to pull together everything we needed to get the cafe opened.”

Hunter Gee Holroyd is a member of the Corporate Finance Network (CFN) whose members specialise in raising finance for businesses, buying or selling companies, and offering corporate finance expertise on deals with a transaction value of less than £3m.  They are the only member of the Network in the York and Harrogate postcode areas.
