- In his spare time, Mark enjoys all sorts of sports, especially cycling and golf.
James Pullein FCA
- Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (FCA).
- James manages a portfolio of owner managed businesses.
- Lead contact for anything IT related - accountancy software, cloud based systems and Xero implementation.
- When James is not in the office he enjoys golf, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Jessica Jackson Senior Manager
Jessica joined us in 2004 after completing her A-levels. She progressed through the Accountancy qualifications AAT and ACA, later qualifying as a Chartered Accountant.
Jess works extensively in new company formations and in raising finance for clients within our Corporate Finance department. She is also our Sage specialist.
In her spare time, Jess enjoys running, shopping and spending time with her family.
Ming Wang Client Manager
Ming joined us in 2004 and is a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians.
She looks after sole traders, partnerships and companies accounts, as well as their tax returns.
Ming graduated from Shanghai International Business University and is fluent in both written and spoken Chinese.
In her spare time she enjoys reading, socialising with friends and family and learning new skills.
Nicola Durham Client Manager
Nicky joined Hunter Gee Holroyd in 2002 after successfully completing a BA (Hons) degree in business and management studies.
She is AAT and ATT qualified and is primarily involved in the preparation of accounts, tax and VAT returns.
When she isn’t at work, Nicky enjoys spending time with her family, going to the gym, and shopping – lots of shopping.
Paul Dyson Easingwold Office Manager
Paul joined us in 1995 and after a brief spell in the York office he is now based at our Easingwold Office.
Paul has a wealth of experience but particularly enjoys legitimately reducing his client’s tax bills.
When Paul is not in the office he enjoys cycling and spending time with his family.
Paul Morris Senior Tax Assistant
Paul Morris, who is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser, has over 14 years of experience in the accountancy profession, following a career as an engineer in the petrochemical industry.
He brings considerable experience in advising clients on Capital Gains Tax, Capital Allowances and Research and Development taxation for business start-ups.
Alison Short Senior Tax Manager
Alison joined HGH in January 2023. She is a Chartered Tax Adviser and has over 24 years of experience in the profession.
Alison draws on a wealth of knowledge and experience in dealing with the personal tax affairs of a portfolio of clients and assisting clients in achieving their personal objectives.
In her spare time she enjoys running and spending time with her family.
Peter Maxwell Client Manager
Peter joined us in 1991 and has a wealth of experience working with small to medium sized businesses.
Peter manages a business portfolio and enjoys analysing and interpreting financial information and other data to produce relevant financial accounts.
When Peter is not in the office he enjoys spending time with his family and following his local football team.
Robert Hancox Senior Audit Manager
Robert qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1998 and has more than 17 years experience of working with small to medium sized businesses.
Robert also works extensively with charities and solicitors supporting them with advice, preparation of accounts, specialist audit and independent examination services.
When Robert is not in the office he enjoys listening to music, swimming and going to the cinema.
Sharon Cox Client Manager
Member of Association of Accounting Technicians and Member of Association of Tax Technicians.
Sharon joined us in 1989 as an Accounts Trainee and has now been a client manager in our farming department for more than 10 years.
She works in both our Easingwold and York offices and looks after a range of clients from small sole trader businesses to large partnerships and limited companies.
In her spare time Sharon enjoys going to the gym, listening to music and shopping.
Steven Warboys Client Manager
Steven joined HGH in March 2022. He qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in September 2009 and FCCA status in September 2014.
Steven is responsible for looking after a range of clients from sole traders and partnership, to companies.
Steven enjoys watching movies, especially science fiction, listening to music, travelling and reading.
Tracey Atkinson Senior Accountant
Tracey joined Hunter Gee Holroyd in 2013 and is based in the Filey Office. She is a Member of The Association of Accounting Technicians.
Tracey has worked in an accountancy practice since leaving school. She then had 10 years out (for good behaviour!) working as a School Business Manager. Since moving to North Yorkshire Tracey has returned to accountancy!
In her spare time Tracey enjoys researching family history, yoga, spending time with family and friends, exploring the great North Yorkshire Moors, and drinking red wine responsibly!
Sally Beckett Payroll Manager
Sally joined Hunter Gee Holroyd as Payroll Manager in May 2022.
She has completed her AAT Level 2 and has over 14 years' experience in payroll - working in accountancy for 11 years and the NHS for 3 years.
In her spare time, Sally trains with Thirsk and Sowerby Harriers running club, enjoys cycling, hiking in the lakes and dales and spends time field training and walking her two crazy spaniels!
Debbie Garrett Bookkeeper/Payroll Administrator
Debbie joined Hunter Gee Holroyd in July 2022 as Payroll Administrator in our York office.
After working in corporate banking in London for 23 years, Debbie decided to change direction and retrained as a bookkeeper, gaining her ICB qualifications. She went on to set up her own bookkeeping practice, which she ran for 5 years before moving back into full-time employment.
Charmaine Weintraud Bookkeeping Manager
Charmaine joined Hunter Gee Holroyd in February 2021 and is based in the York office.
She has a wealth of bookkeeping experience working with small to medium sized businesses in various business sectors.
As a certified bookkeeper and Xero advisor, Charmaine is primarily responsible for bookkeeping and VAT returns.
In her spare time, Charmaine enjoys gardening, walks in the country and travel.
Edward Butterfield Client Manager
Ed joined Hunter Gee Holroyd in September 2014.
He became MAAT qualified in September 2017 whilst working at Hunter Gee Holroyd and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2022.
When Ed is not in the office, he spends his time playing football and socialising with his family and friends.
Tim Turner Filey Office Manager
Tim joined Hunter Gee Holroyd in May 2018 and is based at our Filey office.
Tim has over forty years experience within accountancy practice in particular with sole traders, partnerships, small/medium sized companies and self assessment tax returns.
In his time away from the office Tim enjoys walking, travelling and spending time with his family.
Cathryn Adamson Bookkeeper/Payroll Administrator
Cathryn joined Hunter Gee Holroyd in February 2020 as a Book-Keeper at our Filey office. Having spent the previous 12 years working in Further Education, she decided to return to bookkeeping having qualified through ICB many years ago.
Away from the office, Cathryn enjoys spending time with her daughter, taking part in horse riding and meeting up with friends and family.
Helen Akkary Secretary
Helen joined Hunter Gee Holroyd in May 2021 in a secretarial/administrative role at the Filey office.
She previously worked in banking for twelve years.
In her spare time Helen enjoys painting, drawing and spending time with her children.
Catherine Bull Semi-Senior Accountant
Catherine joined the Filey team at Hunter Gee Holroyd in July 2022 with over 9 years' bookkeeping experience.
She achieved Level 3 Diploma in Bookkeeping with the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers in 2013 and Level 3 Diploma in Payroll Management in 2017. She is currently studying for her ACCA qualification.
Catherine has taken part in the Burniston and Cloughton Rat Pack Shows, raising money for St Catherine’s Hospice and plays alto saxophone. She also enjoys music, eating out in restaurants and walking her dog, Sammy.
Kelsey Butterfield Senior Manager
Having joined Hunter Gee Holroyd in September 2014, Kelsey has progressed through AAT and successfully completed ICAEW & CTA achieving both Chartered Accountancy and Chartered Tax qualification.
Kelsey manages a portfolio of owner-managed businesses and is also part of the corporate finance and tax department.
Kelsey is also the chair of MAKE-YORK networking group in York.
In her spare time, Kelsey enjoys spending time with friends and family and takes an interest in Fashion!
Callum Roberts Senior Accountant
Callum joined Hunter Gee Holroyd in February 2018.
He is AAT qualified. He has worked in the accountancy profession since leaving sixth form in 2016.
When not at work Callum enjoys watching rugby league.
Julie Wilkins Practice Administrator
Julie joined Hunter Gee Holroyd in October 2018 as practice administrator bringing many years of accounts experience within large to medium size businesses in varied Industries.
When out of the office Julie enjoys cycling, spin classes, learning to play the piano and eating out with friends.
Katie Walters Secretary
Katie joined the Hunter Gee Holroyd team in February 2019.
She is NVQ 3 Business Administration qualified and previously worked in the construction industry for twelve and a half years.
Katie has two young children and enjoys dining out, shopping and spending time with her friends and family.
Abigail Grewer Marketing Assistant
Abbie joined Hunter Gee Holroyd as our Marketing Assistant in April 2024.
After studying Business Management at Newcastle University, Abbie decided to start her career in marketing. Her role includes organising events and managing the company's marketing and social media.
In her spare time, Abbie enjoys travelling, reading, spending time with friends, and going to the gym.
Gemma McCaffrey Payroll Administrator
Gemma joined Hunter Gee Holroyd in April 2024.
Gemma is an associate member of the CIPP. Following her graduation, she worked in HR before moving onto payroll, completing her CIPP Payroll Technician Certificate in October 2023.
When not in the office, she enjoys cooking and spending time with family. Gemma also likes to read, knit, and watch films at the cinema.
Rachel Tuckley Accounts Technician
Rachel joined Hunter Gee Holroyd in the York office and is a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians. Following graduation she worked as a flute player and teacher and later held roles with some of the country’s leading arts organisations running music education programmes.
Rachel gained her AAT qualification in 2016 and supports sole traders, partnerships and companies with their accounts preparation.
In her spare time she enjoys playing the flute, spending time with family, and one day hopes to become good at gardening!
Catherine Beales Semi-Senior Accountant
Catherine recently joined Hunter Gee Holroyd as Semi-Senior Accountant in June 2024.
Having worked in marketing and branding since her university days, she took a leap of faith in 2021 to pursue her interest in accountancy and business, and she has never looked back.
In her spare time she enjoys clay modelling, hiking, and gardening.
Laura Braim Semi-Senior Accountant
Laura joined HGH having previously worked in the healthcare industry.
Laura is AAT qualified (MAAT) and has an ICB Level 3 Diploma in Payroll Management.
When not in the office, Laura works on the family farm and enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Adam Edwards Audit Senior
Adam joined HGH in May 2022, having worked in the industry for over 5 years. He earned his AAT qualification in 2018 and will be continuing his studies towards his Chartered Accountants qualification.
He has spent the past 2 years working in audit is looking forward to continuing his progression in that field.
In his free time Adam likes to travel and go on long walks in the countryside that end at the pub. He also plays American Football for a team in Leeds.
Charlotte Fereday Tax Manager
Charlotte joined HGH in June 2023. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has several years’ experience in tax services across a range of companies.
In her spare time, she enjoys competing her horse, walking her dog, and spending time with her young family.
Ruth Archuleta Senior Tax Assistant
Ruth joined HGH in August 2023, having worked in tax for several years. She has experience in both corporate and personal tax, working with a wide range of companies and individuals.
She is currently studying towards her Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor qualifications.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading and attending concerts.
Zepherin Jinny Semi-Senior Accountant
Zepherin joined HGH in 2023 after completing her postgraduate degree in MSc. Accounting and Finance and is currently working towards her ACCA qualification.
Her role involves preparation of accounts for clients in various sectors and she is also part of the audit team. She is looking forward to developing and expanding her knowledge and skills.
In her free time she enjoys walking with music on, cooking good meals, watching cricket and spending time with friends.
Luke Temple Junior Accountant
Luke joined Hunter Gee Holroyd in September 2023 after finishing his A-Levels.
He is currently studying for his level 3 AAT qualification.
In his spare time Luke enjoys playing cricket, watching a wide variety of sports and learning about history.
Sally Ward Secretary
Sally joined Hunter Gee Holroyd in March 2013 after a career in banking.
Sally works in the Easingwold office. She deals with payroll, book keeping and secretarial duties.
Sally is a Member of CIPP (The Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals).
In her spare time, Sally enjoys playing tennis, making a fool of herself at zumba classes, listening to all types of music & spending time with her family.

Nick Lawson Wealth Management Director
BSc (Hons) Chemistry, Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analysis, Dip PFS – Regulated Financial Planning.
Nick joined the Financial Services Team at HGH Wealth in October 2011 having already gained 11 years’ experience in the Financial Services sector providing specialist investment solutions to private and business clients with a variety of planning and wealth management needs.
Nick is a fully qualified investment professional and committed to the provision of holistic, independent financial advice services to all our clients as well as to his own further personal development as a Chartered Financial Planner.
Prior to joining us, Nick has worked throughout the country but was born and bred in York and returned to his roots to settle with his young family – the focus of his time outside the office.
Nick also enjoys looking after his marine aquarium and playing golf.
Sharon Ward Paraplanner
Sharon joined the financial services team as an administrator in December 2003. Following exam success and training, she has progressed to the role of Paraplanner.
Sharon works closely with our firm’s professional partners and advisers to ensure that bespoke financial planning solutions are designed and managed for all our clients.
Sharon delivers seamless client service to our clients and arranges the regular reviews.
Outside of the office, Sharon enjoys being a Brownie Guider, listening to music, reading and following Castleford Tigers rugby league team.
Sarah Herlihy Financial Services Administrator
Sarah joined HGH Wealth Management in March 2018 with 5 years' experience in the Financial Services Industry.
Sarah's responsibilities include welcoming clients who contact or visit HGH Wealth Management. She also provides administrative support to help deliver a consistent, high quality service to clients.
In her spare time Sarah enjoys spending time with her family and friends, walking her dog, and watching her home football team - Sheffield United
Sandra Caisley Financial Services Administrator
Sandra joined HGH Wealth in April 2024 with a long and varied financial services background.
Sandra provides full administrative support, along with Sarah and Sharon, to the HGH Wealth Management Director ensuring a high quality service to clients at all times.
Outside of work Sandra enjoys spending time with her friends and family, cooking and watching her teenage sons play cricket.
